100 YO Antique Wood Carved KASHIGATA Pastry Mold Japanese / CONGRATS GRADUATION!

Description

This is a hand carved antique wood mold made for Japanese sweets.
It would date from the late 1800's to the early 1900's.
This is a deep size for pastry or . . .?
Because of the quality of the carving these are often used as a wall decoration.
The carving is clear and sharp.
It reads "CONGRATULATIONS FOR GRADUATING!"
When these were used different colored sugars would be used to make an edible work of art
It's 6 1/4 inches across (15.5 cm) 4 5/8 inches wide (11.75 cm) 1 7/8 inches deep (4.75 cm) It weighs just under 1 1/4 pounds (1 kilo)
