Popular Philadelphia 1868 Eagle. This conditional rarity has an estimated 175 examples known in all grades. Above au55 this date becomes increasingly difficult and rare. The example is believed to be very tough above this grade as most saw circulation with heavy abrasion. As such, the offered coin is unique in that it is the finest CAC certified example with none finer. There have been no auction comps for a AU58 CAC and this offered example is sharply struck as seen with minimal abrasion in comparison to all other 1868 . 1 one 14 CAC approved in all grades.
