MGB ‘71
Four decades of racing experience are reflected in the MGB's aerodynamic design and competitlon-bred performance. In a world of “so-so” cars, the MGB possesses a unique and vital dlfference - that of being an uncompromised, true and spirited sports car. Among its features: a fully-synchronized 4-speed gearbox, front disc brakes, mag-style wheels, and full sports car instrumentation.
Body-contoured reclining bucket seats offer comfort to match the luxury of our new Autumn Leaf interior.
A winning MGB that can take to the freeways as nimbly as it does the track.
An optional feature for sophisticated looks: Radial ply tires are standard.
MGB-GT
This is where classic styling and advanced sports car engineering come together In a most beautiful manner. It's one authentic GT that's eminently practical. A meaningful difference that can mean, among other things, better gas mlleage and higher resale. And yet, the MGB/GT possesses the kind of extravagant air associated with a first-class grand touring automobile.
A full array of instruments, fully synchronized 4-speed gearbox, and rack-and-pinion steering are just three of the MGB/GT’s sports car features.
A track proven 1798cc twin-carb engine suprises most people with its spirited yet economical performance: up to 25 miles per gallon.
Big, powerful 10.75 inch disc brakes up front assure you the stopping power worthy of a GT built by MG.
MIDGET
Here's how to get away from it all for less money than you'd pay for any other true sports car. Big enough for the action of the track and yet small enough to outwit city traffic. Live your comings and goings with a close ratio, 4-speed gearbox, racing-type suspension, rack-and pinion steering and sure-stop front disc brakes. A different sports car to match the spirit of today's now people.
There’s plenty of get up and go in the Midget’s 1275cc twin-carb engine. Track-tested and proven, the Midget’s engine delivers up to 30 miles to the gallon.
Weatherproof tonneau cover. Just one of the many available Midget options.
The mag-style wheels that tell others you’re on the move. Radial ply tires, standard, add to the Midget’s road gripping performances.
A generation later.
Although it all began in England back in 1923 with a ‘’Special" from Morris Garages, the sports car phenomenon did not take off in the United States until the late 1940’s.
It was then that returning servicemen brought back with them cars like the MG-TC and its successor, the TD.
The popularity these classic two-seaters quickly garnered then played a decisive role in launching the sports car phenomenon so evident in America today.
Then, as today, Americans were quick to recognize the distinctly different characteristics of MG sports cars. A spirit of individual freedom. A virtue of reliability. And the twin merits of superb handling and performance.
Since then, styles have changed and new MG engineering concepts have replaced old ones. But one thing has stayed unaltered and untampered with. That unique set of qualities which makes the MG sports cars the attractions they are. That’s why, a generation later, MG is the largest-selling imported sports car line in America.
