    Description

1980’s Gretsch bebop kit nitron black. Condition is "Seller refurbished".
For sale is a three-piece Gretsch drum set from the 1980s with a true 18” bass drum. The shells are genuine Jasper 6 ply maple gumwood with no extra holes. Very good condition for drums 40 years old and sound as great as a real deal Jasper shell Gretsch kit should. Rare bebop sizes.
PLEASE CHECK THE PHOTOS. Included are the following.
    DRUMS (diameter X depth)
    18x14 bass drum Black Nitron
    14x14 floor tom Black Lacquer
    12x8 tom Black Nitron
18” Bass Drum – Replacement hoops and tom holder. T bolts for the batter side are on the way but just had to get this drum up and running. If T bolts are important to you, hang on for a bit. Other than that, all original, no extra holes or modifications. Black Nitron wrap is clean and seams are tight.
14” Floor Tom – Replacement legs and wing nuts. All original leg brackets. Ordered new wing nuts from Gretsch but for some strange reason the thread pitch is different on the new parts. Had to spring for stainless wing nuts and washers at the hardware store. Edges original. This drum is black lacquer showing some checking and imperfections but rounds out this bebop configuration perfectly.
12” Tom – Black Nitron wrap clean with tight seams. Drop G badge original. Had to have the edges cut because they were in really rough shape. Recreated to the exact angle and shape as original. Unfortunately, some small chips of wood tore out during the process but the sound is much improved. Both internal tone controls are intact and functional. If you prefer a black lacquer 12” tom with all original edges for this kit, please let me know. I’m in the process of assembling a virgin (no holes for mounting hardware) 80s tom.
