    Description

    Here is a
    Hand-Painted stone EGG
    , I don't know what stone it is, could be Soapstone or something else. It has a hand-painted speckled background (unless that is the stone itself!!) and a hand-decorated Black animal and a Tree on the other side. The animal looks like a
    Tapir
    to me (South America and Asia) but it could be an
    Elephant
    (Africa). I did some research and all the hand-painted eggs with elephants came out of Africa and they also featured a Tree on the back like this one does, so this is my best guess. I don't know much about these eggs.
    It measures about 2.5" long and weighs 8.8 ounces. It is in great condition. Please let me know if you have any questions since this is really not my area of expertise.
