    Description

Is your pickguard falling off? Are you making a unique pickguard from scratch? Well the folks at 3M have a solution for everything! This 6"x8" double sided adhesive tape is the gold standard for pickguards new and old, and after 5 easy steps, your pickguard will be back on for the long haul! For large or oddly shaped pickguards, 2 sheets, or the trimmed off excess, can be used without compromising aesthetics or durability.
    1. Simply remove your old pickguard (if it's still there) 2. Use an oil-free cleaner to clean and then dry the areas where the double sided tape will adhere to 3. Remove one layer of the wax paper and place it on the backside of your pickguard 4. Cut the adhesive tape to the shape of your pickguard 4. Remove the second layer of wax paper 5. Place it firmly on your guitar!
Pro Tips: These extra steps will help you get a perfect placement every time, and avoid bubbles!
    1. For an easy method to better fitment: You can test fit your pickguard before removing the second layer of wax paper, and then lightly apply painters tape around the perimeter for an easy a guide.
    2. For the best fitment and avoiding bubbles: Peel off a small corner of the wax paper to one side where it will be easy to grab later (preferably at the smallest point, closest to the upper bout), and place the pickguard in position. This will give you some slack before passing the point of no return. Once the pickguard is partially adhered where you want it, press that area firmly to avoid moving the pickguard out of place, then slowly remove the remaining wax paper to avoid ripping, and press it on firmly as you go to avoid any bubbles.
If you are unsure, always consult forum's for advise on the best oil-free cleaners to use on your guitar, and the best way to soften the adhesives used to fully remove your manufacturers period pickguards.
