The Raw Steel shell pack comes crowned with hand-cut 45° bearing edges, Remo heads, and maple hoops treated to a whiskey-infused lacquer finish. The A&F Raw Steel shell pack boasts the penetrating projection and wide-open tone to suit heavier styles of music, along with excellent musicality and a wide tuning range to accommodate even more sensitive blends of swing, jazz, and bluegrass. The classic 6- and 8-hole architecture maximizes the harmonic content of the shells to evoke a wide range of classic to contemporary tones. And like all A&F steel drums, the Raw Steel's thin, lightweight shells are entirely handcrafted — cut, rolled, welded, and sanded — from a single sheet of metal in A&F's Austin workshop.

The Raw Steel's shells are handsomely complemented by a full set of aged hardware. From the handcut badges and double-sided round lugs right down to the tension rods and floor tom brackets, this kit is primed to give you vintage butterflies every time you sit down to practice or perform.
Real, one-of-a-kind drums
Every A&F drum is handmade in Austin, Texas, by (skilled) artisans in collaboration with professional drummers. They've embraced archaic construction techniques from decades past to make drums that have a unique sound. Since every drum component is handmade, aged, and assembled in-house, there may be small variances between two drums of the same size and finish. While some would classify varying patinas, imperfect circles, or visible weld seams as flaws, A&F Drums disagrees. In fact, the artisans at A&F consider these cosmetic "flaws" to be the hallmark of a one-of-a-kind 100% handmade drum. A&F is so confident in their drums that they offer a lifetime warranty on every single drum that leaves their workshop.
