    Description

For sale is an older African Tanzanian stool made by the people of Nyamwezi.
It is a great example of a three leg stool with a chief sitting on top of the stool.
This indicates a chair made for chiefs used in alters or shrine ceremonies.
The top of each leg is indented for hand grip for carrying the stool.
It appears to be early 20th c. and has a few stable age cracks.
This stool is 12 inches across X 7 1/2" high - including chief  the stool is just over 13 inches; very rare piece.
Thank you for looking and please follow my store as new art is added often.
