    ) symbols, this set features delightfully cute little animals with small symbols to remind the player of how each piece moves.

    This game ties in with the simplified game "Let's Catch the Lion." Players familiar with that game will find this a simple and logical step to learning "real shogi" with disarming, easy to understand characters.

    This set is made with quality from start to finish. It comes in a sturdy box with a removable lid. The playing surface is a colorfully printed folding board, approx. 16 x 16 inches. The pieces are wooden blocks, 1 3/16 inch on each side and 3/8 inch thick (3 x 3 x 1 cm), with a printed surface showing each character. Most pieces also have a printed surface on the bottom, showing each piece's promotional value and its new move.
    ENGLISH RULES
    This game is clearly explained in English, in a pamphlet which we provide. (A Japanese booklet also comes included in the box.)
