Antique Champlevé Egg Box, Matte Gold Gilt, Built-in Base

Description

Interesting little egg-shaped trinket box. Stands without a separate holder due to a small base attached. Definitely looks handmade rather than manufactured. 2-1/4" tall, 1-3/4" diameter at widest point. Recesses have a matte gold filling. Gilding is worn in places, but still remains. Inside of box is completely gilded. Champlevé enamel is held by fine twisted wires.
Please review photos carefully. Price fair and firm. Not a dealer, just downsizing the amount of things collected over the years.
