    ANTIQUE CHINESE LADIE'S JEWELRY / DRESSING BOX

    Excellent condition. All original, found intact other than missing a top piece of one rail post replaced during restoration.
    Beautiful patina on cedar wood surfaces. Age of door latch & drawer pulls uncertain
    Wood hinge pin doors open to expose 3 interior drawers used to hold jewelry and make-up items
    Decorative back splat made up of 1-piece openwork carving of birds in prunus blossoms with a top rail terminating
    with lotus blossoms
    was also functional as
    a place to hang cloth cleaning and make-up materials
    2-pieces of lotus blossom carvings form a U-shaped mirror stand mounted on the top of the box
