    Description

    Very unusual brass appointed wooden travel box.  I say travel box because of the ring handles on the side and the top, unless they were just for decoration.  It has a primitive sliding latch on the ornate catch on the front.  It is lined with Asian writing, forgive me, I can't tell what language it is.  It measures 5 inches tall by 4 inches square.  Wooden feet on the bottom.  My guess is that it was made in the late 1800's.
