    Description

    This old wooden box is in excellent condition - solidly built and a great patina. All the joints seem tight and well made. The outside is painted Red with gold highlights and a fishing scene on the lid. The inside is varnished wood. The fasteners and bands are brass. The bottom has a mark on it but I do not read Chinese (or any other oriental languages) and have no Idea what it says. The box measures 13" long by about 11" wide and 12" tall. The lid is about 7" high. It is a fantastic piece for the collector or decorator.
