    Up for auction is an antique Chinese gilded leather pillow box.
    There is a secret compartment in the panel of the lid for extra storage space.
    When sleeping, travelers rest their necks on their pillow boxes to guard their valuables.
    The box can be used to hold documents or jewelry.
    Condition Report
    The leather box is a pre-owned item with age-related wear.  There is damage on one end of the box from impact.  There are scratches overall.  The edge of the lid is worn-out from opening and closing the box. The base is stained.  The inside needs some cleaning.  Other than that, the leather box is in a great condition. Please see the photos for the described conditions.
