    Description

For scandinavians and Vikings, you could fill the horn with flowers and flags on 17 mai or use as a viking drinking party.
Have fun thinking of ways to use this conversation piece!
RARE ORIGINAL EXTREMELY UNIQUE ANTIQUE DRINKING HORN  most likely from early 1900`s  Please see all photos as part of the description.
I have not done anything to the metal or the horn.
I have provided a photo of the horn on a wooden industrial console table so you can get a "feel" of the size. I believe is must be a buffalo horn and possibly from India or Africa, most likely Africa. We lived many years in Kenya and this style of decor was prominent in Indian homes and elsewhere.
I underscore that I do not know the origin of the horn or the metal which appears to be painted a brass color  The metal is heavy and stabile. I have never seen one like it so I cannot describe it perfectly....I just give you my opinion as such. Pls read the description. and see all the wonderful photos and decide for yourself.
It`s probably not historically of importance anyway.....its simply an interesting horn---and a great conversation piece---to say the least.
I consider this piece to be especially interesting and an ethnic treasure, so will pack it well. It is not heavy but a bit difficult to package. The legs come off which helps. It will be well padded. I have estimates shipping and should it be too much for your zip code it will be refunded.
The horn measures  a great 27" from top to end and stands 15". The opening diameter is 5.5"
We have had a rather extensive drinking horn collection which we started selling last year. This is one of the last to be listed.
We purchased this and a few other horns from a German man who was a missionary to Africa, and it is therefore not possible for me to say whether , but I believe this horn to be from the time of colonization of Africa.
