******* PRICE is 9 ****** This is a rare game-used, team-signed baseball from the 1969 Arizona State baseball team that won the NCAA title that year. It is a Wilson ball from that era that has been autographed by 22 players including six that went on to play in the major leagues _ pitchers Larry Gura (Cubs, Royals, Yankees), Craig Swan (Mets, Angels), Jim Crawford (Astros, Tigers) and Lerrin LaGrow (Tigers, Cardinals, White Sox, Dodgers, Phillies) plus outfielder-catcher Paul Ray Powell (Twins, Dodgers) and infielder Lenny Randle (Senators, Rangers, Mets, Yankees, Cubs, Mariners). Other players on the roster who signed the ball in blue ballpoint pen were 1969 College World Series MVP John Dolinsek, Bill Leinheiser, Joe Miller, Ken Hansen, Bill Massarand, Jeff Osborn, Roger Detter, Gene Kobar, Rick Valley, Tom Welton, Jack Collinge, Terry Brewer, Billy Cotton, Irv McDonald, Ralph Dick and Willie Harris. Hall of Fame coach Bobby Winkles signed the ball on the sweet spot with assistant coach Jack Smitheran signing over the Wilson stamping and team trainer Ray Robinson also signing the ball. Winkles guided ASU to a 56-11 record in 1969 and the school's third NCAA championship in five seasons. He had a 524-173 record from 1959-71 before going to the majors and managing the Angels and A's. Great item from any ASU baseball fan.
