Authentic Chinese Carved Lacquer Mythological Dragon Box.
If you like cinnabar lacquer work, this dragon box is a great addition to a collection. You will find the layering, the handwork and the appreciation for the dedication given to this art. The dragon box is covered in carved patterns and figures that can best be described as mythological renderings. The dragon box measures 5.25" side to side x 10" tip to tail x 9.25" high and weighs 1 kg. The interior is black lacquer and the shell seam is brass, a little tarnished in places.
