This special Lennon First Day Cover was made by Massachusetts FDC artist Nirlay Kundu who painted a one-of-a-kind hand made FDC and then offered a limited edition of these hand made prints of the First Day Cover for the 8 September, 2018 John Lennon official USPS postage stamp by incorporating the stamp into the design of a beautiful, large rendition of John Lennon and Yoko Ono with peace signs and "Hair Peace" and "Bed Peace" wording. and the John Lennon saying
"I'm not going to change the way I look or the way I feel to conform to anything. I've always been a freak. So I've been a freak all my life and I've to live with that you know. I'm one of those people."
Mr. Nirlay Kundu received the prestigious 2018 accolade "Court of Honor" from the American First Day Cover Society for his FDC "Madonna and Child." A limited printed edition of just 12 “John Yoko Peace” fdc, with an original, orange gradient stamp, was then produced and sent to the USPS for the addition of their official date of cancellation John Lennon signature stamp. The "John Yoko Peace" print fdc measures 3 3/4 inch by 6 1/2 inch, are 100% cotton paper, no gum, handmade envelopes that are signed and numbered with a limited worldwide edition of only 12. This fdc was printed on a commercial laser printer making the artwork look just as exciting and fresh as the original painting. This special and rare fdc is signed and numbered by the artist.
