ALL FOUR BEATLESCLOTHING SWATCH
AND FILM FRAMES DISPLAY
A unique 3 1/2 inch x 5 3/4 inch by 1 inch thick, clear lucite holder with colorful graphics showing all four Beatles pictures on the backdrop of a British flag and actual swatches of material removed from clothing worn/owned by all four Beatles. A representative example is shown. Of course there will be some variance in clothing swatch cuts from display to display, but all will be about the same size. I cannot offer a large swatch of material at this price, but you can be assured that this is a unique and very limited edition display. Rarely will you get the chance to own a piece of clothing from all 4 Beatles at one time! This display also has four vintage 35mm film frames showing them performing in the movie "A Hard Days Night."
This display comes with laminated COA cards on both the material sections, film frames, and a velvet like zipper case for storage.
JOHN LENNON-a grey lining swatch from a pair of black trousers/pants worn by John in 1967. Originally acquired in the early 80's directly from Gordon Millings whose father was the owner of Millings & Son tailor shop. This was the famous tailor shop used by the Beatles, many movie stars, and other important music figures. Acquired through the British auction house of Cooper & Owen. The trousers have the original Millings and Son bevo label and the additional label with hand written notes with a "John Lennon July 1967." After careful inspection and consideration it was determined that a small fragment of material (left by the tailor) could be removed without compromising the integrity of the trousers. The material was removed from the waist lining area. The removal was done by a professional seamstress.
PAUL MCCARTNEY-a black lining swatch from a dark gray, black velvet collar, suit coat worn by Paul circa 1963-64. Acquired through the British auction house of Cooper & Owen. The suit coat/jacket has the tailor label removed and was probably donated to a charity, at some time, as the jacket is autographed twice (lapel area and interior liner). After careful inspection and consideration it was determined that a small fragment of material (left by the tailor) could be removed without compromising the integrity of the coat. The material was removed from the interior seam area. The removal was done by a professional seamstress.
GEORGE HARRISON-an actual swatch from an orange, green, brown, and silver pailsey pattern 1960's, India style, kurta worn by George Harrison in India. This 2 piece kurta was acquired by George from the Westwood, California Sat Purush Boutique. After careful inspection and consideration it was determined that a small swatch of material (from the interior pocket area) could be removed without compromising the integrity of the garment. The removal was done by a professional seamstress.
RINGO STARR-swatch from a black, with silver stripe, tie owned and worn by Ringo Starr. Ringo signed this in silver paint pen in 1989 and it sold through a Christie's auction. After careful inspection and consideration it was determined that a small fragment of material (on the interior seam) could be removed without compromising the integrity of the tie. The removal was done by a professional seamstress.
