This auction is for 2
empty
frozen dinner boxes of ‘Linda McCartney’s Home Style Cooking’ meals.
Each box measures 9” x 1” x 6.5” in size. These frozen dinners were distributed by Fairmont Foods of Minnesota, Inc. in 1994.
The Fettuccine Alfredo box has the following number stamped in the area of the box that says “Proof Of Purchase”: 18147. The Bavarian Goulash has the following number in the same location on its box: 16047. I do not know if this number is of any importance to the collector, but since it is stamped into the boxes and can not be seen by the scanner, I felt I should provide them.
The boxes do show age. I had them in a box in my basement with other Beatle related food boxes, but they still aged. They were
not
at anytime in direct sunlight. Each box has been opened at one end to remove the tray of food. The bottom side of each box does have a crease along its end (see photo) where something heavy had been placed on the ends of the two boxes at one time. Other than age and both boxes have the creases mentioned above, the face, backs, and unopened ends show no damage. The unopened ends of each box are still firmly sealed. The Bavarian box face does show light brown spots from age (see photo). The open ends of each box I consider to be damaged since they both have creases along the outer flaps and tears on the inner flaps (see photos).
The boxes will be shipped with a 1" thick
Styrofoam
that I will place inside each box.
These boxes are clean. There are no food stains or odor on these boxes,
