We are owners of several large storage locker businesses.  The things we sell are items we find in units that rent has not been paid for and the contents abandoned.

n’t know the age, maker, or any other information
other than what is described with our observation & inspection.  Past that we are not accountable for any extra extrapolation of the buyer.  Photos are our best description tool and we post them for you to observe.  So please pay attention to them.  If after that you still have a legitimate question we might be able to help you with, please ask.  We are not authorities or experts and we don’t claim to be but we always try to help if we can.
We are guessing this is an inkwell but not terribly sure.  Or possibly something to contain water as the center insert when the head is titled back lifts out so maybe for a wet sponge for moistening postage stamps back in the day when that was done.   What you see is what you get and what we found in an abandoned unpaid storage rental unit.   It might have had a felt bottom at one time because we see some remnants of felt still attached on the bottom.  It is about 6" long and quite heavy so we will ship it in a small .20 Flat Rate Priority box.
In this same storage unit there were 3 apple boxes filled with other African American black people items. Animated clocks, tobacco and beer items, & the list goes on.  But we don't know how to list it all because of eBay and their uninformed righteous ways.  We listed an item that was a jellybean candy box with adorable graphics of people hanging on a Jellybean blimp or dirigible.  But we used the word for black in Spanish  (N E G R - O) used for that race of people for hundreds of years but the poorly educated French fry cooks hired away from McDonald's & the restroom cleaners for gas stations now at eBay found the word offensive and ended the auction.    Did they inform all the African American people that they no longer are a race of people & are the Caucasian or Asian next?   Nothing like a great liberal arts degree from a California University to keep the world correct.  Also, maybe they can tell all the people in the world who speak Spanish to change their language used for hundreds of years that they can't use the word for the color black in Spanish.  Yeah right. The eBay police don't seem to be the brightest crayons in the world do they?   But we will see what we can do and define things so the "rocket scientists" with their highly tuned skills at eBay won't be offended.
We do combine multiple wins into one box to save shipping costs. Large items are usually sent FedEx Ground and small items are sent with the USPS.  If you live outside the United States or even
