Offered is a beautifully designed and intricately detailed set of
American Civil War Chess Pieces
As with all of our chess sets, this is a complete 32 Piece set.
We don't show all of the pieces in the picture because then
it gets too crowded and you can not see the magnificent detail.
This set does NOT include a board.
Made of a cold cast polyresin with 3 1/4" Kings
and then painstakingly hand painted in authentic military uniforms
With a 1" base this set will fit comfortably on any standard 12" x 12" or larger board.
Join the battle as President Abraham Lincoln and General Ulysses S. Grant do battle with
President Jefferson Davis and General Robert E.Lee
in an effort to resolve the question of State's Rights.
Can you change the course of American history?
Painstakingly dressed in the authentic clothing of the day.
A brief note of explanation.
This is one of several sets that we offer which depict historical events at which there were no strong women.
(The Battle of the Alamo, France vs England Sea Battles, and some of our other sets fall into this same category).
As such, the designer has taken the liberty of portraying the "Queen" as the President's (male) Senior General.
