CHINESE ANTIQUE CELADON JADE & BRASS TRINKET JEWELRY BOX CARVED APPLIED FLOWERS

Description

This box belonged to my grandmother and is approximately 100 years old.  One of the brass tabs on the bottom is impressed with CHINA.  I found no chips or cracks, but there is some wear to the top applied jade pieces.  The brass trim/hardware is engraved with a swirl design and may be gilded.  Back of the lid is hinged.  Dimensions are 3 1/4" by 3 3/4" by 1 1/2".  The front panel of jade is worn smooth from opening and closing the box.  Bottom looks mottled in the photo because of the butterflies inside the box.
