Chinese Hand Carved Antique Wood Box brass front closure and hinges. Each side has a depiction of ancient Chinese life with people and nature in hand Carved 3D relief. The bottom and interior do not have the dark wood stain used on all the other panels. The box is in very good used condition for its age. There are many signs of usage on the edges and surface including scratches, nicks and rubbed or discolored areas which add to the personality and history of the box. The brass closure gets stuck in the closed position and needs adjusting. The construction and the carvings are still in very good and completely sturdy condition.
