  • Condition: This thought to be antique (vintage for sure) cloisonné box exhibits wear consistent with its age. Imperfections include, but not limited to minor soiling, pitting, tarnishing, oxidation, paper stamp residue, uneven paint, uneven bottom and uneven interior. That being said, this is a good example of (thought to be) late 19th century Chinese cloisonné.

    You are bidding on a thought to be antique (vintage for sure), hinged lidded Chinese cloisonné red enamel flower humidor footed jar/trinket box. This red box has a decorative and attractive design on every side (not the bottom).
    This box was bought used in 1969 by my Grandfather, an avid Asian antique collector. He most likely bought it in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, where he lived, or Japan, where he often frequented.
    This is a good example of Chinese enamel art. A great addition to any collection.
