Antique Chinese dressing box with folding mirror. Amazing gilt lacquer decoration on the exterior showing people engaged in various activities as well as birds, plants and elaborate landscapes. Made in China during the Qing Dynasty (1800-1900). When it is closed, it is about 13 1/2 inches long (34.2 cm long), 9 1/4 inches tall (23.5 cm) and 11 1/4 inches wide (28.6 cm). It has metal hardware, and opens as shown in the pictures to reveal various draws and a folding mirror. This is an antique item, and that means its got an antique mirror. The mirror has some marks in the mirroring material (on the rear of the glass). The exterior has minor dings and marks as shown in the pictures. Some of the metal pins that attached the metal hardware are loose.
