Copper Medallion Honoring the 1907 Gold Eagle, 1.5 in. dia., 1 oz. .999 Fine

1907 was a crazy year for gold pieces.  The United States Mint struck well over 2 million coronet-type gold pieces, but they also struck a very small quantity of Indian head-type.  In 1907 and part of 1908, Indian head gold pieces did not contain the motto "In God We Trust".  This quickly caused an uproar and beginning later in 1908, the motto was added.  Curiously, this copper medallion honoring the 1907 Indian head gold piece DOES contain the missing motto.
This is a 1.5 inch large replica of a brilliant uncirculated 1907 gold piece.  It is made of .999 fine copper and weighs 1 ounce.  You will receive an almost identical medallion as shown in the pictures I took.
They have a gorgeous proof-like appearance that doesn't fully come through in the photos.
I have placed these replicas in new Air-Tite brand Direct Fit protective capsules to preserve their beauty.  They can be removed from the capsules if you desire.
These are beautiful medallions.
