DESCRIPTION:
Offered for your review and consideration is this fantastic, absolutely untouched and unaltered,
early 20th century, vintage
Western
Ame
ric
ana,
highly decorative, hand tooled and stamped,
nickel heel band facia and metal leather strap rosette cover buttons, with unusual, alternating green and black wool pom-pom decorated leather outer edges, pair of horse riding spurs.
The heel band metal facia are decorated with
Western
graphic iconography,
in the form of characteristic stamped and hand tooled horseshoes and paisleys.
To say these weren't simply as lovely as they're exceptionally well-preserved, would be doing them an injustice. They're complete and aren't missing any of their original component parts. The only mark against them is the minor to moderate episodes of oxidation found on the nickel heel bands or yokes. The outer extending shanks and spoked rowels also have evidence of some minor to moderate oxidation but are also still intact and aren't missing any teeth. The cut, adjustable leather straps are also still quite supple and remain fairly flexible. The pair of
Western
riding
spurs
were only carefully dusted with a soft red sable brush to remove dust and debris found on them. The
spurs
have naturally matte, dry surfaces and the leather is also naturally dry and has a naturally aged patina. Aside from the previously mentioned episodes of oxidation, they're otherwise untouched and as they were originally constituted. A truly remarkable set of vintage
