Gretsch Vintage Drum Shells
Professionally veneered with maple.
It was done years ago. I’ve owned these shells for around 5 years and they are just like the day I bought them. The seams are tight without a gap, and the veneer is 100% tight to the shells over the entire surface of them. It was done correctly. The gloss lacquer looks good. Even coverage over the shells with no runs. Has a nice vintage look to it. Some of the silver sealer inside has been touched up.
8x12 Model No. 4415
It’s a 60s shell. The original bearing edges are in good condition. No extra holes.
14x14 Model No. 4417
It’s an early 70s shell. The original bearing edges are in good condition. No extra holes. The badge hole has been filled.
14x18 Model No. 4244
Coveted vintage 18” bass drum. Authentic bass drum shell, not a converted floor tom. It’s an early 80’s shell. The tom mount holes have been filled, as well as the air vent hole and original spur holes. 1/2” holes have been drilled for 60s spurs.
In all the shells, the only holes drilled through the veneer are the lug holes. No other holes have been drilled through, in case you want to use different mounts, spurs , and whatnot.
All the shells are in round. Remo heads fit snug, but not tight. They go on fine.
Great project shells that I never got around to finishing into a kit.
