Gretsch created the Brooklyn series of drums to bring you the vintage tone that made Gretsch drums beloved by drummers worldwide, while also bringing you some modern improvements. For example, the Brooklyn 4-piece Shell Pack uses Gretsch's 302 hoops which are inspired by early-'50s Gretsch hoops. These 3mm double-flanged hoops have a more open and ambient tone than Gretsch's die-cast hoops, and are thicker and more rounded than vintage hoops so they won't shred your sticks as quickly.
