    Description

    Beaded African Rungu Tribal War club Weapon. In Maasai culture, the rungu is an important emblem of warrior status for young males. A special one is held by the designated speaker at important tribal gatherings.
    Maasai beaded rungus are made of ebonized olive wood, small glass beads, and mostly used by Moran’s from the maasai community for hunting as well as keeping off wild animals. They are also used by respected village elders in community gatherings as a symbol of authority and status. Made from olive wood and decorated with maasai glass colored seed beads. Very intricate handmade work and detail.
    The maasai club, is called a rungu.
