JOHN COOPER WAS THE HEAD FOOTBALL COACH AT OHIO STATE FROM 1988-2000/WON-LOSS RECORD WAS 111-43-4.  (OVERALL COLLEGE COACHING RECORD WAS 192-84-6.)  COACH COOPER WAS THE 1988 SPORTING NEWS COACH OF THE YEAR---IN 2008, HE WAS INDUCTED INTO THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME.
