KANSAS CITY
BEATLES CONCERT ENVELOPE
In August 1964 The Beatles came back to America for an extensive concert tour. The big cities like Los Angeles, Chicago and New York were on the schedule, but Kansas City was not. That is until a man named Charles Finley took action. Charles Finley, owner of the Kansas City Athletics'
baseball team, offered ,000 to the Beatles to play Kansas City on an off date of September, 17, 1964. The answer was no, so he doubled the offer to 0,000, but again the Beatles said no. Finley went home frustrated, but came back later and put his pen to a check and wrote down 0,000 (equal to a million dollars in today money) and the Beatles said Yeah Yeah Yeah, the Kansas City concert was on. Municipal Stadium was where the Beatles concert was held. You will a receive a very special, large, 4 1/8 inch by 9 1/2 inch, white printed envelope with exclusive 2019 commissioned artwork of Charles Finley and a 1964 Beatles Municipal Stadium concert ticket. The envelope has a real set of 1964 Kansas City Hallmark stamps and a faux 1964 cancellation. You will receive an envelope with the original stamps. Since the cancellation is hand stamped, position may vary a little from that shown
