Large Antique Chinese Red+ Round Wedding Marriage/Storage Box, 19th c., Seamed
Decorated with a red wash all over - and then painted with 3 stylized figures and fronds, shapes, and more colors: yellow/pink/black.
Measures 14-1/2" diameter x 11-5/8" tall. Very Good for the age. Minimal wear, a little fading of paint typical of age. The seam is tight and unbroken. Some loss to the original paper labels, but again typical for age. Displays beautifully on a table top, side table, or in a display case. A very nice statement piece. Originally purchased in 2005 through an antique dealer on Maui.
