Large Handcrafted Wooden Chess Board Made From Solid Wood 2 inch regulation size Squares.. Condition is "New". Shipped with USPS First Class.
This board is made of premium quality
Tamboril and Hickory hardwood:
Tamboril
:
A Brazilianhardwood with a janka hardness scale rating of 2330.
This is the same hardness level of Brazilian cherrywood.
It is an exotic wood used inflooring, furniture, and other various types of carpentry.
Process:
We use a 5-step sanding process starting with 80grit, and gradually sanding the wood to 220 grit until it is soft and smooth tothe touch.
It is then conditioned with tung oil and allowedto dry.
The corners are reinforced using
splines
made of tamboril.
The edge is
beveled
with roman ogee to add a detailed look to the board and then finishedwith multiple coats of lacquer gloss topcoat.

There are slight differences in the wood that make each board unique and aesthetically different.
Each board has a unique number from SOULCRAFT WOODWORKING AND DESIGN.
