Old hand made wood model of 3 mast sailing ship w 4 cannons & animal hide sails

Description

We are offering what I believe is a 19th century antique of a simple handmade wood model of a war time three mast sailing ship with  4 cannons (2 mounted on each side of the ship). The sails and flags appear to be made from animal hides.The ship's hull was hand painted black with some scattering of yellow paint highlighted on the black surface along with defined area of  white paint in the forward section, and narrow red trim in the aft section above the black paint. There were 5 windows crudely painted white and divided into sections with black lines.The ship is 17 5/8" H (at its highest point) and 18" long (at its longest point). Most of the rigging is in excellent undamaged original condition. Only the main sail rigging needs some minor repair. It appears that the top cap of the main sail is missing as both other masts have such caps.The main sail has a red cross on it. It resembles the flag the crusaders used in earlier centuries. Not sure if this ship was part of the Spanish armada or not.  If you have any questions please email me.
