Children are moving on from this hobby, so here's a chance for you or your children to get into it. Aside from a pair of scissors and a lighter to close the ends, this is all you need to get started. (A pair of forceps or needle-nose pliers might be handy for tightening knots.)Two jigs make it so easy to braid bracelets and keep tension on the cords. The one on the left expands to be 12", much larger than the other.
Two books have basic and more advanced instructions, along with many other projects. I'm including the instructions from a couple of projects.
Plenty of small buckles, and quite a few larger ones. Most bracelets will use the smaller buckles.
The paracord includes multiple sizes, colors, and patterns, and even includes some thinner cords (upper right corner) for smaller projects. I haven't measured how much paracord is included, but it's probably hundreds of feet, enough to make dozens of projects. Some of the smaller bags don't have enough cord to make a complete bracelet, but can be woven in for a bit of flair.
Also, paracord is great for all kinds of real-world applications, and is handy to have on hand when you need it.
Between the two pictures, you should be able to see all of the colors and patterns.
