The 1860-S is not only among the rarest San Francisco , but 1860-S is also among the rarest coins in the entire series. This important freshly graded example is completely original with no wear seen. It posses attractive natural orange-gold over surfaces which lack the dense abrasions commonly seen on virtually every known 1860-S , a unique consideration. The strike is sharp with full radial lines in the stars, and the eye appeal is phenomenal and better than on any other 1860-S including the one finer MS60 PCGS example. Not only is this example one of the finest either the second but even other examples below this condition census example have never been offered. There has never been a PCGS AU58 or finer example of this date that sold at auction. An attractive NGC non-cac AU55 sold for ,200 in 2018, whilst the thoroughly abraded MS60 PCGS suggests a PCGS price guide of ,000.
