Description
For your consideration are these highly collectible pair of inside marked O. Crockett spurs. They have the star and 2 half moons pattern mounted in silver overlay on the bands and also have silver overlay on the shanks and over the rowel pin areas. They have chap guards and extra large, 12 point rowels which appear to be original. According to most experts, the O. Crockett inside mark is one of the earliest Crockett hallmarks, and these spurs were likely made while he was at Kansas City or shortly after moving toPawhuska
. These would have been made by Oscar himself before he started hiring helpers to make spurs in masse.
MAKER: Oscar Crockett.
APPROX AGE: Circa 1910 - 1916.
SIZE: Heel opening is 3-3/8". Heel bands are 1-1/4" wide. Shanks are 3-1/2" long including the rowels.
CONDITION: Good for their age, normal wear expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
