1977 US Dark Horse/Warner Bros promotional only set. These were promotional sunglasses for George Harrison’s solo album, 33 & 1/3 that was released in November 1976. They are similar but not exactly the same as the style on the front of the album. The glasses were given away by record companies and radio stations to contest winners who would receive an album, bumper sticker and the glasses, which was called the “prize pak." There is the faintest print on the upper part of the right lens that says KLOS 95.5.
This sale is for just the sunglasses. No additional items.
Mirror lenses.
The '33 1/3' logo [incorporating the 'Ohm' symbol] is printed in white on a sticker on the bridge, with artist and title text on the arms.
Left arm says George Harrison.
Right arm says Thirty Three & 1/3.
Both on stickers.
Inside says TAIWAN R.O.C. KLOS 95.5 is printed on the right lens. This is Southern California’s Rock Station.
Very good condition. Lenses are overall in good shape. No big obvious scratches. But keep in mind that these are nearly 50 year old promo glasses that are cheaply made. Again, all the print on the glasses are actually stickers. The side that says Thirty Three & 1/3 is coming a little undone although you can’t really tell unless you are looking closely. May even be able to be fastened tighter with some glue.
We will put these in a proper sunglass case for shipping. It is not part of the item being sold. It is simply to keep them safe.
This item will be shipped via USPS with required signature so please give us a shipping address where it can be signed for.
