Rare Late Qing 6"+ Chinese 1000 Flower Cloisonne Box ~Stand ~Marked "CHINA"

Description

This auction is for a beautiful and rare Chinese cloisonne box marked "CHINA".  This marking dates to box as late Qing to early Republic (1890 - 1920). The pattern is the highly prized 1000 Flower design.  The box is oblong with a lid that extends end to end.  The entire outer surface of the box is decorated with Thousand Flower cloisonne.  The ground is a light lime green ground with flowers of green, yellow, blue, pink, red and white.  The wires of the cloisonne are gold.
The inside of the box has two compartments and is finished in blue enamel.  There is an iron red marking of "CHINA" on the lid inside the box.  Each end of the box has lovely flowers with a cirular border.  This gives an elegant look to the box.  The box is trimmed in brass which has a nice patina.  The box rests on four brass feet.
The box is in excellent antique condition with expected wear.  There could be small surface scratches.  There could be minor pitting & tiny enamel loss as is common with older cloisonne.  There are no dents, cracks, chips, repairs or damage that I can find.  The lid fits properly on the box when closed.  The lid opens properly and the hinges are not damaged.
A vintage Chinese wood scroll stand is included in the auction but is not original to the cloisonne box.  The black stand displays the cloisonne box nicely.  The stand is in very good condition vintage with expected wear.  There is some loss of stain on the top but is mostly covered by the box on display.  There are bits of stain loss, surface scratches and rubs.  The stand is unmarked but definitely Chinese.

This lovely antique Chinese cloisonne Thousand Flower box is in excellent condition and a rare shape.  This 1000 Flower design is quite beautiful and highly prized by collectors.
It is a wonderful work of Chinese art that you will cherish for years to come.  A great addition to a collection of Asian art or a collection of boxes.
