LIBERTY BOOTS
Toronto-based Liberty Boot Co.
was started in 1986 by Tony Benattar. T
he boots are designed in Toronto and crafted in León, Mexico, and have become a phenomenon and worn and favoured by luminaries such as Madonna, Bruce Springsteen and Ralph Lauren.
These are a stunning pair of early Liberty boots and a very RARE find. The design is based on a pair of custom boots from the 1940s and probably no more than a few were ever made, compared to their mass produced designs, like
today's
"Killazz".
They have the original Liberty Boot Co. label, indicating they were made in the boot capital of Mexico, LEON, probably even pre Luis Torres, who joined in 1998 and possibly even by Vicente Fox (who later became president of Mexico).
Needless to say they are fabulous quality boots in chocolate calf, with shallow scalloped shafts, inlaid with a striking cream and orange Rococco design that just POPS. They have 3/4" squared, cutback Peso toes with fabulous toebugs and wrinkles. The heels are longbase walking heels that are 1 3/4" tall. They have h

THESE BOOTS HAVE STUNNING TWO COLOUR ROCOCCO STYLE INLAYS ON THE SHAFTS, IN CREAM AND ORANGE.

CLOSE TO MINT CONDITION, SHOWING HARDLY ANY SIGNS OF WEAR FOR THEIR AGE.  THE SOLES AND HEEL CAPS ARE ORIGINAL AND IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THEY HAVE BEEN KEPT WELL AS BEFITTING A BOOT OF THIS QUALITY AND ORIGINAL COST, BEING FROM THE DAYS WHEN COWBOY BOOTS WERE STILL MOSTLY HAND-MADE WITH PRIDE. THE INLAY WORK IS STUNNING ON THESE BOOTS, BEING SPECIALLY DESIGNED AND CLASSICALLY (ROCOCCO) INFLUENCED CREAM AND ORANGE COLOURED EMBROIDERY, WITH A SINGLE ROW OF STITCHING
. THESE BOOTS ARE VERY NASHVILLE AND ARE APPROXIMATELY 30-35 YEARS OLD.
