Up for auction is a very rare set of 2 Apple Records acetates dating to 1968-1969 and a rare original U.S. domestic pressing of the acetates, Both acetates feature the group the Iveys who later changed their name to Badfinger.
Quite likely the only remaining acetate to feature The Iveys name on the Magic Christian Music Lp. Magic Christian Music was issued under the new name Badfinger.

Acetate Covers:
Plain white covers with handwritten track listing and artist information only on the Badfinger cover. Both covers appear to have a semi gloss finish on both sides. General wear and tear to the covers as might be expected for the age of the Lp's.
All seams are intact.
U.S. Domestic Cover:
A very nice Lp in its own right and this one is in excellent condition. Gloss front cover shows minimal wear and very few if any marks. Back cover is also very nice as well with no writing, stickers or tears. All seams are perfect and some minor corner softness. The Cover is still housed in its original shrink wrap. A truly great example of this album.
Iveys Stereo Acetate:
Apple Records Custom label – 3 Savile Row address with typewritten details: The Iveys Side One Stereo and The Iveys Side Two Stereo. Both labels are in excellent condition with little to no fading/aging definitely well preserved for being 50+ years old.
The acetate is in remarkably good condition with some light hairline surface marks. There is a small edge chip in the run on groove on Side 1 at the 7 o’clock position. There also appears to be some light flaking lines in that same position that extend into Track 1. There does not appear to be any lifting of the acetate material in this area. Having said that I would not play track 1 Side 1 as it will most likely skip and could damage your needle, all other tracks are fine to play if desired to do so.
Bad Finger Stereo
Acetate:
Apple Records Custom label – 3 Savile Row address with typewritten details: Bad Finger Side One Stereo with a complete typed track list. Bad Finger Side Two Stereo with a complete typed track list. Side one label has 6 small pieces of cello tape affixing/supporting the adhesion of the label to the acetate. Side two label is in excellent condition with some fading/aging but well preserved for being 50+ years old.
The acetate is in remarkably good condition with some light to medium surface marks on the acetate. One small edge chip on Side one in the 10 o’clock position.
U.S. Domestic Lp:
The Apple Records labels are in excellent condition with hardly any spindle marks. No writing, tears or stickers. The vinyl has an excellent shine to it with little to no surface lines. It appears as if this copy did not get any amount of play time. An extremely clean copy of this rare album.
