Lot #TopPop58S.   This is a very rare 1858-s-p PCGS Graded AU58, Gold Eagle Coin.  The 1858-s is not impossible to find in Mint State.  PCGS has only graded three examples as AU58, and this one makes a strong case as being the finest of those.  PCGS sold one of the others in 2019 at a Legends Auction for ,475.  That one is in a museum collection now, unlikely to sell again.  Trends at PCGS AU58 with such low precedence are ,000 with the price guide in flux showing ,500+.  There are some graded AU58 by NGC.  The few PCGS AU58 examples are considered superior in this date as realized prices have proven.
