Unusual Vintage Cinnabar Lacquer Covered Quatrefoil Box

Description

This is a unique Chinese quatrefoil cinabar box.
It is 4 X  4 1/4 X 2 inches in size.
Just look at the detailed carving on this box.  It is perfect and depicts two figures, a man with a walking stick and a woman, in a landscape  with mountains, flowers and three graceful trees.  It is beautiful and graceful. The trees are a flowering tree, a deciduous tree and  a conifer.  It has been carefully stored and treasured and has a few paint scratches on the inside rim of the covers.  It may have a few cracks, but they are hard to see.
