    Description

    Up for auction this week is this old, Long Island estate sale find: A 43" UNFINISHED HOLLOW SCRATCH-BUILT WORLD WAR II SUBMARINE MODEL. It's just over 43" long, hollow and is made from a lightweight built-up wood (NOT balsa) of either cedar, redwood or pine. It is DEFINITELY old, maybe made by a sailor during the War, and never finished. The upper deck is scribed out for adding deck equipment, guns and a conning tower. Check out the pix. Any questions?
