Vintage African Handwoven Strip Woven Wedding / Ceremonial Blanket Rug
Amazing and beautiful LARGE authentic hand strip woven blanket / rug. I am not sure of the age, but it comes from the estate of a collector of African fabrics, curated mainly in the 60’s. There were a lot of African
Ashanti Kente fabric from Ghana in the collection, but this one is a bit different, so I hesitate to call it Ashanti. I am not certain the country of origin.
Measures approximately 104 x 52” and weighs about 3.5 lbs. In very clean condition with no odor. Bright vivid colors. There is a little bit of light yellowing discoloration in some of the panels of the white blocks before the fringe ends. This blanket is made up of 7 1/4” wide strips that are delicately tacted together every 9 inches or so. While most of the tacts are intact, there are a handful which have detached and will need reattaching.
Features white, black, green, orange and red strips of color.

Prompt payment through Paypal is appreciated. If payment is not made by 7 days, I need to report the transaction as unpaid in order to recover the auction fees. Shipping
I pack and ship items very quickly. All items typically ship the same day if the transaction is completed by 11AM Eastern Standard Time, Monday - Friday. Shipping rates and methods vary depending upon the item so please check the listing for specifics. In the event you choose to return an item, the shipping cost will be deducted from the refund amount. International buyers are responsible for any customs and duty fees.
Return Policy
Unless otherwised specified in the listing, I will accept returns within 14 days of the receipt of the item. Please send me a message to start the return process. For all returns, shipping costs will be deducted from the amount refunded. This includes items with free shipping. Shipping is free if you choose to keep the item, otherwise the actual cost will be deducted from the refund amound. Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.
