vintage CHINESE LAQUERED TRUNK wood storage box hand painted BRASS HARDWARE 1974

Description

Vintage chinoiserie trunk.  FANTASTIC SCENES ON THE FRONT, TOP, AND BOTH SIDES.  Solid brass handles and latch.  Black lacquered finish over bronze tones painted scenes.  The inside is lined with Asian text.
20 1/2" wide
11 1/2" tall
12 1/2" deep
The underside still has the original makers sticker.  It states "Artno TC053A", and "W/NO 910074".  Although this could be older, I believe that this was made in 1974 per the last two digits of the work order number and the fact that "74" is written on the inside bottom.
Made of all wood and brass.  Patina consistent with a trunk from 1974.  Some light scratches, scuff marks, and small chips.  The brass has signs of age.  The locking pins are missing but replacements can be found on this site.
It will be protected well and insured.
