Vintage Yoruba Peoples Beaded Ceremonial Belt Red Face of Eshu Blk & Wt Nigeria

DESCRIPTION:  This is a Gorgeous Hand Beaded Ceremonial Belt made in Nigeria by the Yoruba Peoples.  It features the face of Eshu/Esu,
the divine messenger, able to communicate between the powerful Heaven and Earth Spirits,  and part of the Yoruba Religion.  They have used a combination of absolutely beautiful beads- Red and White for the face of Eshu, and Black and White in a diamond pattern for the main part of the belt.  The patterns are accented by a green border that is quite striking.  This belt could be worn (with one sash repair), displayed or both!  Very pretty color combinations!
SIZE:  End to end I'm measuring about 58".  The main beaded area is a tapering 2 3/4" width, X ~29" length.  The ties are ~15" long one side, ~14" long the other side.  Weight 5.7 Oz.  Should weigh under a pound when packed.
CONDITION:  Very good Vintage condition, beads appear attached well. Belt ties are hand stitched, intact, though the off-white fabric used in ties and backing is stained, some frays -normal for these.  One sash tie is ripped and needs reinforcement if you are to wear (photo #11)
