    Description

    Up for auction is this beautiful vintage / antique Chinese carved hard wood lidded jar box with carved stone plaque top for the lid.
    Signed on the bottom and I think from the 1930s - 1950a. At least vintage.
    The stone plaque carving is in great condition with scroll border and floral motif. The plaque can come off the lid but can also be quite nicely secured to the lid. The wood lid has a small age split to the side but very minor. Otherwise no losses and feel free to glue down the plaque if you want.
    The jar box with the lid measures 4” inches tall with base 3.2” inches in diameter (10.2 cm, 8.1 cm). The round stone plaque measures about 2.5” inches in diameter (6.4 cm).
    Would make a fantastic display piece, fine addition to a collection, or a great gift!
